FRESHWATER SOLUTIONS I have pursued the concept and development of Sustainable Ecological Aquaculture and environmental trout fishery management since the early 1980's, founded on principles of Ecological Habitat Enhancement. TROUT FISHERIES A number of trout fisheries are no more than holes in the ground full of water. Their designs are at best hit and miss affairs that have failed to take into account the need for specific designs that create a habitat that is able to rejuvenate and recruit an sustainable aquatic ecosystem to sustain and maintain good fish populations. Most fisheries are stocked very regularly from local fish farms. Designing trout and mixed fisheries is a complex issue that requires considerable ecological expertise. ECOLOGICAL AQUACULTURE This Ecological Aquaculture System is modelled to mirror and complement the existing local ecology that surrounds it, helping to restore and regenerate the natural aquatic and terrestrial environment. The Sustainable Ecological Aquaculture Design System, enables continuous habitat recovery, while effortlessly sustaining a vigorous and dependable yield of top quality aquatic products. The freshwater fish species produced from within the system are indistinguishable in taste, texture and appearance from true wild fish.
